MEET OUR NEW PASTOR!
The District Superintendent of the Twin Cities District of the United Methodist Church, Minnesota Annual Conference, has announced that it is the intention of the Bishop Lanette Plambeck to appoint the Reverend Hannah Choi as minister of the Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church in Mendota Heights. Acting on behalf of the congregation, the Staff Parish Relations Committee has confirmed the Bishop’s intention.
There will be a service of Celebration of Appointment on July7th. Visitors are welcome to attend. A reception will be held in honor of Rev. Hannah Choi on July 14th at 11:00 am in the church’s fellowship hall.
Hannah previously served as a chaplain resident at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital and Park Ave Church in Minneapolis as an associate pastor, as well as Mt Bethel UMC as a senior interim pastor.
Hannah received bachelor’s degrees in Social Welfare and Theology in South Korea and a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN.
She is an enthusiastic worshipper and preacher. She has a caring heart. She loves getting to know people by listening to their stories, visiting people who are in need, and praying for them.
She was married to Jay Jeong in South Korea and has two daughters. Jay is also serving another UMC. In her free time, she likes tending to her garden, hiking in nature, listening to music, and reading books. She is a lap swimmer who works out hard every week.
Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church is located at 700 Wesley Lane in Mendota Heights.Worship Services are held at 10:00 am every Sunday.
